Introduction
Welcome! I’m Deoclécio Paiva de Castro, a Ph.D. student in Economics at the University of Porto, where I was selected in the process for the 2023/2024 academic year. I hold a Master’s degree in Modeling and Quantitative Methods from the Federal University of Ceará (UFC), where I conducted research on the framing effect in the graph model for conflict resolution.
My research interests encompass Game Theory, Behavioral Economics, Quantitative Modeling, Conflict Analysis, and Data Analysis applied to public policies. Recognized for integrating multidisciplinary knowledge with a solid quantitative foundation, I aim to contribute with innovative solutions to complex challenges by combining academic rigor with practical experience.

With a diverse professional trajectory spanning academia, public administration, and innovative initiatives in digital communication, I have accumulated extensive expertise across various fields. At the Federal University of Ceará, I served as vice-coordinator in extension projects and was a teaching assistant in Game Theory. I presented papers at renowned international conferences such as the European Conference on Operational Research and the Global Decision and Negotiation Conference, reflecting my commitment to advancing knowledge in areas like Game Theory, Behavioral Economics, and Quantitative Modeling.
In my roles at the Municipal Government of Fortaleza and the Government of the State of Ceará, I gained valuable experience in technical advisory, strategic planning, and social media management. Notably, I was responsible for the creation and coordination of the FB Podcast—the first public podcast studio in Brazil—distinguished for disseminating topics related to education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
